Virgin Australia has slashed the price of millions of plane tickets to celebrate Black Friday - with domestic fares starting at just $49 and return fares to New Zealand for just $405.

The affordable tickets are available from now until December 4 and include travel dates as early as January 6 right through until September 18.

The deals include flights across Virgin Australia's entire network - from Bali to Fiji and Byron to Uluru.

But travellers are warned to get in quick because the deals are first in best dressed offers.

The one-way domestic tickets include $49 tickets from Sydney to Ballina - the gateway to Byron Bay, Sydney to the Golf Coast for $65 and Sydney to Cairns from $115.

People can fly from Melbourne to Sydney for $85, to the Gold Coast for $89 and to Darwin from $205.

There are tickets from Brisbane to Uluru for $129, Brisbane to the Whitsundays for $79 and Adelaide to Hobart for $89.

Aussies wanting to head to New Zealand - return - can do it for just $405 from Melbourne and $435 from Sydney.

There are $499 return flights between Brisbane and Port Villa (Vanuatu), and between the Gold Coast and Bali.

People can head to Fiji for $569 return from Sydney, $589 return from Brisbane and $599 return from Melbourne.

Virgin Australia Executive, Libby Minogue, said Black Friday is one of the best times of the year to land a great travel deal.

'Black Friday isn't just a sale for us – it's our way of saying thank you to our loyal passengers who love to explore,' she said.
