Artful Breakfast Bagels: From Perfect Eggs to Cheddar Butterflies
We're just going to use this to cut into our eggs like this. You want this nice rounded. Now we're just going to carefully lift the top off of our egg and we have a perfect egg. We're going to come over here to our bagel. We have our bagel prepared and we're going to top it with some cream cheese and we're just going to pour our chives and we're just going to mix this together. Our cream cheese is ready now. We're going to spread it directly onto our bagel, spin out our cream cheese. Now we'll take our avocado. Just going to slowly peel off the skin. Now we'll add our second avocado and our egg. And now I'm going to take this, punch this down our dough out of the bowl and we're going to place it right here onto our work top. We're going to gather our dough like this. I'm going to come back with my knife and we're just going to cut this into six pieces. Now we're going to take each piece, we'll just pull it off and we're going to form this into a little ball. I'm just going to fold it over. Do that in your hand also like this. OK, all our little balls are ready. Now we're going to make the holes. Now pick it up and you can just break all the way through and we're going to start stretching it. Just put it like this, just slowly pulling our dough. A perfect form this Here our water is starting to boil and we're going to add two colettes of brown sugar. You can also use molasses if you like as well. Give it a similar think this is going to our bagels to have that nice golden chewy exterior and we're going to come place them one by one. You don't want to crowd them. We'll just pop that right into our boiling water. Only those for about 30 seconds before we flip them over. Our last one, which is kind of any of the excess water and we're going to place it to our baking mat. Here I have my egg wash. I'm just going to brush them all with a little bit of egg wash, All of our little bagels out there, watch. And now when I come back, we're just going to do this top line here with our everything bagel seasoning smells amazing. And our last one, and we'll get the rest plain. Now they take these to the oven. Place the bagels in the oven 400° for about 20 minutes. Our bagels are ready and they smell incredible. Now it's time for the decoration. I'm going to start by placing my bell Peppers and I'm going to take a 1 Carlton of cheddar cheese and we're just going to leave this to melt for just a couple minutes. Now we're going to take the top of our bagel. We're going to come place it on top of this beautiful motif that we've done. Now we're just going to press our cheese on the sides of our bagel like this. This is going to kind of glue it together, take our plate, place it on top. This is for parents only, as this is hot and a little bit dangerous. And now we will reveal our beautiful butterfly. A little sausage here for the body decoration, little eyes and our antennas. This is so cute. Our beautiful breakfast bagels are ready. Look at these butterflies and tulips.
