RANKED: The 30 Top-Grossing Years In Box Office History
The first six months of 2024 have seen domestic box office revenues (US and Canada) plummet by 24% compared to the same period in 2023, according to FilmTake. This has raised serious questions about the future of theatrical releases in the post-lockdown streaming-dominated era. Strike action from writers and actors has also contributed to the problem. From record-breaking blockbusters to beloved family flicks, read on to discover the top-grossing years in domestic box office history.
