'Tsunami of need' amid cost of living crisis

Salvation Army Fundraising Manager Andrew Hill says the mental health challenges have “increased significantly” amid Australia’s cost of living crisis.

New research shows that the nation’s cost of living crisis has severely impacted the mental health of Australians.

“It’s increased significantly,” Mr Hill told Sky News Australia.

“Our frontline people are telling us that they’re seeing a 40 per cent increase at our call centres and our frontline services.

“It’s being described as a tsunami of need.”
