Katter’s Australia Party may ‘punish’ Queensland government by changing preferences
Katter’s Australian Party’s Robbie Katter discusses changing the party’s preferences when Queensland goes to its next election over Labor’s youth crime policy.
“Youth crime is really big in Queensland, and it has always been worse in North Queensland, and the principle policy we have been sitting on for seven years saying to people we will get this delivered for you and whoever is in government,” Mr Katter told Sky News Australia.
“And we’ve start to realise there is nothing in the budget there now, and nothing significant is going to be done.
“We’re now looking at preferences and what we’re doing leading into the election time.
“How can you reward or how can you not punish a government that has turned its back?
“That’s only the one line item on the category of sins they have committed.”
