Melbourne Airport's third runway project cleared for take-off
The federal government has given the green light for Melbourne Airport's $3 billion third runway project to begin construction.
The approval process has been pushed back a year; the new completion date is expected for 2031
The new runway is expected to bring the Victorian capital in line with Sydney, reduce flight delays, and increase competition.
