Aston Martin Answering Our Prayers with V-12 Vanquish Teaser in 2024
- The Aston Martin Vanquish is set to return later this year with a stout V-12 setup.
- In anticipation of the reveal, the automaker released new teaser audio of the V-12 powertrain roaring to life and charging through its gears.
- We don't have many details yet, but we've got high expectations for the return.
We don't normally bring up the topic of religion, but we are loyal disciples of one church. That's the church of screamin' V-12s, and today, Aston Martin answered our prayers with a new teaser of the soundtrack to the upcoming Vanquish. You'll have to go to the Aston Martin site here to let the blessed audio wash over your ears. But trust us, it's worth it.
When the last Vanquish went extinct near the end of the previous decade, it felt like a sign of the times. Electric vehicles were (and still are) gaining in popularity, while small-displacement crossovers filled our streets like locusts. For its part, the Vanquish was powered by a naturally aspirated 5.9-liter V-12 rated for 580 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. We don't have details on the new Vanquish yet, but we expect it to pump those figures up considerably.
The new audio clip from Aston is the second the company has released on the powertrain. Earlier this summer, the automaker released a brief clip with plenty of acceleration, pops, and bangs from the exhaust. While we need to wait a bit longer for pictures and any real details surrounding the new Vanquish, we're glad we've got this audio to tide us over. Excuse us while we hit play one more time.
