Starfield Mod Adds Classic Star Wars Vehicle

A new Starfield mod has added the X-34 Landspeeder from Star Wars to the game. Starfieldrecently introduced its first land vehicle in the form of the REV-8 rover, and fans have wasted no time creating impressive mods for it, such as this one that transforms it into Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder.

Starfield has been out for nearly a year, and while the game has faced various criticisms from fans, it remains a significant release for Bethesda. In addition to the promise of the release of Shattered Space DLC in September, Starfield has kept many fans engaged with its mod scene. Recently, one fan decided to bring a bit of Star Wars to the space-fairing RPG.

Recently, a new Star Wars mod available on NexusMods created by radiclown has caught the attention of Starfield fans on Reddit. Specifically, this new mod called “X-34 Landspeeder” brings the famed Star Wars vehicle piloted by Luke Skywalker to the worlds of Starfield. As seen in radiclown's images, the mod transforms the REV-8 into an incredibly detailed version of the X-34 Landspeeder. According to the mod creator, the Star Warsspeeder can be used in the game after the vanilla REV-8 has been purchased.

Starfield Mod Adds Luke's Landspeeder to the Game

The choice of the X-34 Landspeeder from radiclown makes a lot of sense. In addition to being roughly the size of the REV-8 rover, the X-34 Landspeeder is one of the more iconic vehicles in the entire Star Wars franchise. It was introduced near the beginning of Episode 4: A New Hope and was piloted by Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. While the speeder was eventually sold off to afford passage on Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon, its presence left an indelible mark in the minds of many Star Wars fans.

The reception of the X-34 Landspeeder in Starfield has been positive on places like Reddit, with a recent post from Marcusuk1 about the mod gaining thousands of upvotes. Among the comments, some were impressed with how fast the vehicle mod was made available on NexusMods. In addition, it is worth pointing out that radiclown plans to make more adjustments to enhance the speeder experience. According to the mod creator, they plan to improve collisions and add another variant of the X-34 Landspeeder that removes the mounted cannon.

While the REV-8 rover was only recently released, that has not prevented other fans besides radiclown from making mods for the space vehicle. For example, another user recently created the NASA Lunar Rover mod for Starfield, transforming the REV-8 into the iconic NASA vehicle. In addition, others have suggested more possible mod ideas, such as bringing Mass Effect’s Mako to the game. Time will tell if the Mako or other classic vehicles serve as inspiration for modders in the future.
