- Modding Bethesda games like Fallout 4 is integral to their appeal, offering lasting legacy and endless exploration.
- Fallout Vermont mod utilizes AI for NPCs, providing a unique experience for players seeking new challenges.
Fallout 4fans can try out a new mod that incorporates a brand new state into the game: Vermont. The intriguing Fallout 4mod provides players with a new area to explore, characters to meet, and a mystery to resolve involving feral ghouls.
Modding Bethesda games like Fallout 4is a part of their DNA at this point. While games like Fallout 4and Skyrimhave received tremendous praise for the base titles, Bethesda's open attitude about modding its games has contributed to the titles' overall lasting legacy and continuing popularity. Whenever a fan gets tired of the base game, they can always add a mod that changes the appearance or gameplay, or adds entirely new areas to explore like this one or Fallout: London.
New Fallout 4 Mod Adds Highly-Requested Feature
A brand-new mod for Fallout 4 adds a highly-requested feature that many fans of Bethesda's 2015 RPG have been asking to receive for years.
Fallout 4players can now check out a mod simply called Fallout Vermontby user Yogibird111 that brings players to the northeastern state. The mod adds an entire new area to explore, which is currently undergoing a strange feral ghoul swarm. No one's quite sure how or why so many feral ghouls showed up, and the locals need help uncovering the cause behind it and resolving it once and for all. The mod lacks quest markers, which is intended to encourage exploration, and once installed, players can access the new area by going through a tunnel north of Sanctuary Hills.
Fallout Vermont Requirements and AI Usage
Fans who are currently enjoying Fallout: Londonare in a good place to try this mod. The creator isn't sure if Fallout Vermontwill work properly with the Fallout 44K update that recently launched, and recommends using the "downgraded" GOG version. It has this in common with Fallout: London, though uninstalling one mod to set up the other may be wise to prevent any complications and bugs. Players will also need the Far Harbor DLC in order to play.
Interestingly, the Fallout Vermontmod makes use of AI for its NPCs. While some mods rely on recycling existing voice lines or getting a new team of voice actors to create lines, this one utilizes AI for the audio. This could be seen as controversial to some players, as some gamers don't want AI in gaming. It's a bit more understandable since this is a mod project without an entire team working on it, but some players may still sour at the notion.
While Fallout Vermontand Fallout: Londonobviously don't have the same size and scope, those who have grown weary of the standard Commonwealth wasteland can reinvigorate the sense of discovery and exploration with mods like these.
