Megan Thee Stallion Is Still That Girl in a Magnificent Black Gown at the 2024 MTV VMAs
Fall may be just around the corner, but Megan Thee Stallion is here to remind us that hot girl summer is more than just a season—it’s a lifestyle.
On Wednesday evening, the rapper made a dazzling entrance at New York’s UBS Arena, where she’s set to host tonight’s 2024 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. For the red carpet, she opted to wear a strapless gown featuring a corseted bodice, a mesh see-through bodycon skirt, and a voluminous trumpet flair that appeared as fabric fastened around her legs.
In addition to hosting tonight’s show, Megan has also been nominated in seven different categories: Best Collaboration (for “Wanna Be,” with GloRilla), Best Hip Hop (for “Boa”) Best Trending Video (for “Mamushi”), Song of Summer for “Wanna Be,” Best Direction )for “Boa”) Best Art Direction for (“Boa”), and Best Visual Effects (for “Boa”).
She will also headline as one of the evening’s performers, alongside fellow nominees like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Karol G, Eminem, and Camila Cabello.
“I’m excited to change clothes 500 times. I’m excited to perform. I’m excited to see all the Hotties,” Megan told People ahead of tonight's festivities. “I love New York, I can’t wait to be there again and eat all the food, and I’m excited for people to see what I bring to the table while hosting.”
The musician added, “This is going to be so iconic, and it’s going to be great. I can’t wait for everybody to see it.”
