In "The Day of the Jackal," an unrivaled and highly elusive lone assassin, the Jackal (Redmayne), makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee. But following his latest kill, he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer (Lashana Lynch) who starts to track down the Jackal in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe, leaving destruction in its wake.

The series premieres in the U.S. on Peacock on Nov. 14 with the first five episodes, followed by episodes weekly, and a double-episode finale (episodes nine and 10) on Dec. 12. The series launches in the U.K. on Sky on Nov. 7.

The writer and executive producer is Ronan Bennett. The other executive producers are Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant for Carnival Films, Sam Hoyle for Sky Studios and Sue Naegle. Other executive producers include director Brian Kirk and Redmayne.

Lynch was a co-executive producer. Chris Hall was a producer. Frederick Forsyth was a consulting producer.

The cast was led by Redmayne, Lynch and Úrsula Corberó, supporting by Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O'Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi and Florisa Kamara.

The series was produced by Carnival Films, part of Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
