Midway documents the United States defense of Midway Island as a Japanese fleet of carriers launches fighter planes against US ships. The movie is a great look at World War 2 naval aviation, from the dog fights between fighters to the efficacy of bomber craft and the destruction of the Japanese invasion fleet throughout Sisu. Ottomi fights A1 man war against the German invaders across the Finnish countryside. This gloriously explosive and bloody movie is effectively John Wick in World War 2 with the story of survival and revenge that never lets up. Gary Oldman's performance as Winston Churchill has gone down as one of the greatest of his career as it leads up to the Dunkirk evacuation and the leaders legendary rallying speech. You can find this all in the film Darkest Hour. Oppenheimer double S as a dramatized account of the creation of the atomic bomb as well as a political thriller as Louis Strauss orchestrates the persecution of the scientist for suspected communist sympathies. Dunkirk tells the story of the initial failure held invasion of France by the British Army in 1940, when overwhelming German forces necessitated a naval evacuation of the UK troops. Arguably Mel Gibson's greatest directorial achievement, Hacksaw Ridge documents the true story of pacifist patriot Desmond Doss. JoJo Rabbit won many awards and lives up to the hype.
