Teyana Taylor Steps Out in Sharp Black Balenciaga Sock Boots at Paris Fashion Week

Teyana Taylor turned heads at Balenciaga's fall couture 2024 show held during Paris Fashion Week on June 26.

For the show, the "Gonna Love Me" singer sported a pair of black sock boots, a popular silhouette for the designer brand. Taylor's footwear featured textural jet-black suede uppers, knife-like pointed toes and 1 to 2-inch stiletto heels.

The novelty of Balenciaga's sock boots is the fit, given it is supposed to look like the boots are molded to the wearer's legs like a sock. The style is a favorite of many, especially the Kardashians. The boot's jet-black composition and futuristic feel complemented Taylor's wardrobe choices for the show, creating an eye-catching cohesive all-black color scheme.

Similar sock boot silhouettes can be found from the likes of Jil Sanders, The Row, Givenchy, Gianvito Rossi and Bottega Veneta. The silhouette is often found in neutral shades like black and tan, however, some brands offer neon options that can offer any ensemble a striking pop of color. In a similarly edgy style, the "We Got Love" singer wore a fitted turtleneck dress layered beneath an extremely oversized black blazer featuring a uniquely frayed hem. The styling choice is preppy and very Balenciaga, challenging the norms of dress while making a statement.

Taylor's footwear style is daring and bold. The "How You Want It?" musician often wears heeled and flat boots from brands including Rick Owens, Bottega Veneta and Dr. Martens. For more casual occasions, she also slips on an array of sneakers from Air Jordan. In fact, Taylor's penchant for sneakers has even led her to collaborate on limited-edition styles with Air Jordan, as well as Adidas and Reebok over the years.
