Boeing scores $2.39B contract modification from DoD for 15 additional KC-46A tankers

Boeing (NYSE:BA) was awarded a $2.39B modification to a previously-awarded contract from the U.S. Air Force to build 15 additional KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling tankers under the Lot 11 procurement, The Pentagon announced late Thursday.

The KC-46A Pegasus made its inaugural full-scale operational deployment in October after the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command approved the aircraft for global combat operations in 2022.

Boeing (BA) has delivered 89 KC-46As to the U.S. Air Force since 2019, and the company now has 168 of the tankers on contract globally.
