Amazon Prime Invite-Only Deals Are Back for Prime Day 2024: What to Know

Amazon's Prime Day sale is days away, but Amazon has already promised to bring back invite-only deals, which the commerce giant rolled out for last summer's Prime Day and then brought back later in the year for Black Friday.

With invite-only discounts you can request an invitation to exclusive Prime Day deals that Amazon expects to sell out during the sales event on July 16 and 17. The invitation ensures bargain hunters have access to specific deals without having to watch closely for a price drop. To be eligible for these high-profile deals, you'll need to register for those products ahead of time. While Amazon hasn't listed every invite-only deal, it hinted that the price cuts would include up to 40% off Sony wireless headphones and up to 30% off Peloton products.

Below, learn how Amazon Prime Day invite-only deals work and how you can sign up for special deals now.

What are Amazon Prime Day invite-only deals?

For some of the biggest Amazon Prime Day deals on the site, you'll have a special red box indicating they are an "Invite-only Prime Deal." Once you click the product, you'll see a yellow "Request invite" button sitting below the promoted price, near the Add to Cart button. Clicking that button will register you for a guarantee to buy the product at the Prime Day price when it goes on sale.

Invitations will be granted based on the number of products Amazon has in stock. If your request for an invitation is successful, you'll get an email from Amazon with a special link to buy the product when it goes on sale.

How do Amazon Prime Day invite-only deals work?

It's simple for Amazon Prime members to request invites for deals that are available by invitation. Look for the yellow button marked "Request invite" below the advertised Amazon Prime Day price. These buttons will only be present on products that are marked "Available by invitation."

After you click the yellow button, a small pop-up window will confirm that you've requested an invitation, and the product page will refresh to show "Invite requested." You'll also get a confirmation email from Amazon with the subject "Invite-only deal requested," that shows the product you requested and the Prime Day deal price.

If you're selected by Amazon to receive an invitation, you'll get an email during the Prime Day sale (on July 16 and 17) with a special link to buy the product. The product page will display a timer showing how long you have left to make the purchase. If you're not selected for the invitation, you'll receive an email explaining that as well.

You can only apply for one invitation for each product, but you can request invites for as manyPrime Day deals as you like.

Which Amazon products are offered as invite-only deals in in July?

Amazon is being cagey about every deal that will be available just by invite but said in addition to the Sony wireless headphones and Peloton products, it will have invites for 40% off a Speedo Champion Signature Swim bundle, up to 60% off a Citizen chronograph watch and 58% off on Foreo Luna mini 3 set.
