Four teams, four highly explosive offenses and four coaching staffs that specialize in spreading and shredding opposing defenses. It's no secret that the NFC West has some of the most brilliant offensive minds in football with Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan continuing to carry the torch for the division.

However, both the Seahawks and the Cardinals have made moves this offseason to increase their offensive output. Seattle said goodbye to Pete Carroll and new head coach Mike Macdonald brought Washington Huskies OC Ryan Grubb in to fill the position. Grubb helped engineer a prolific Washington offense that saw the Huskies make the National Championship game and send three players to the NFL as first-round picks.

Arizona added Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth overall pick, making it three straight years the team used a first-round pick to acquire an offensive player.

With that being said, here are the NFC West offensive rankings.

San Francisco 49ers

Madden cover boy Christian McCaffery spearheads a zone rushing attack that accounted for over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 21 touchdowns last season. As of now, the Niners were able to retain their trio of receivers including Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings, giving Brock Purdy another year to play alongside his weapons. George Kittle just put in his third 1,000-yard season while remaining one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL. Trent Williams added his third first-team All-Pro selection in 2023 while Kyle Juszczyk acquired his first, going alongside eight straight Pro Bowl selections for the fullback.

The Niners have been to three straight NFC championship games behind their ability to dominate the line of scrimmage. The Niners also added another pass catcher in Ricky Pearsall with their first-round pick. However, rumors of immense turmoil inside the organization, along with aging superstars and the curse of being the Super Bowl loser, may be too much to overcome in 2024.

Los Angeles Rams

Second only in title but on the cusp of overtaking their hated rivals on the leaderboards, the Rams have the perfect mix of veterans and youth to scare the rest of the league. Longtime vets such as Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Kevin Dotson return, while Puka Nacua, Steve Avila, Kyren Williams and rookie Blake Corum look to build on the team's second-half success in 2023. While the Rams still have questions regarding their left tackle position, they have one of the best interior offensive lines with the addition of Jonah Jackson.

Seattle Seahawks

Geno Smith enters Year 2 of his three-year deal in Seattle. He's a prime cut candidate in 2025 and as we all know, when QBs get desperate, they let the ball fly. The problem is that on the receiving end is a three-headed monster of their own. DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba look to improve from their first year together, while UDFA Jake Bobo proved he belongs in the league.

Kenneth Walker was less than 100 yards short of back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons, averaging 4.1 yards per carry in 15 games. Smith threw for over 4,000 yards in 2022 and with an OC that had very similar tools at the collegiate level, the Seahawks could quickly go from three to one. Keep in mind, Michael Penix Jr. was less than 100 yards from throwing for 5,000 yards last season while having a 1,000-yard rusher teammate. Seattle also employs former Rams' assistant Jake Peetz as their pass game coordinator.

Arizona Cardinals

Arizona with Kyler Murray under center has shown the ability in years past to possess the ability to score at will. Murray's cannon of an arm and his running ability keeps defensive coordinators up at night and he has a potential generational WR in Marvin Harrison Jr.

Paris Johnson Jr. makes the move back to left tackle after receiving praise from his rookie performance on the right. Arizona also acquired one of the best young running back prospects in the 2023 Draft in Florida State's Trey Benson. At tight end, Trey McBride looks to improve in his new role. McBride had 825 yards with multiple QBs and only 12 starts in 2023. The team is young and hungry but Murray's inability to stay healthy may hinder their ambitions. Murray has missed 18 games over three seasons and his health is so bad, the team made a move for Desmond Ridder this offseason.
