Raiders Coach Involved in $28 Million Bankruptcy Case
JUNE 26 RAIDERS TROUBLE Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce is named in his wife’s bankruptcy filing, which states he was a guarantor of judgements that equal more than $28 million.
Pierce apparently invested millions in car dealerships in the 2010s that defaulted on the couple’s loans. Jocelyn Pierce claims she did not sign any personal guarantee on the loans.
Pierce is named a guarantor of judgements from a Nissan company for $23 million and from a Hyundai company for $4.5 million judgment, according to reports.
JUNE 10 DOMINATION! The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are the highest of profile-teams in the NFL ... and football fans are happy to pay to prove it.
The NFLPA recently revealed its list of the players whose likeness sold the most products from March 2023 to February 2024.
And it's all about Chiefs and Eagles.
Actually, Philly QB Jalen Hurts takes the top spot ... ahead of former Eagles center Jason Kelce.
That's right - a center finished second!
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes finished third, and Kelce's brother Travis ranks at No. 4.
JUNE 10 RELATIONSHIP RULES Are Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift- as they are approaching the one-year anniversary mark in their relationship - breaking a "relationship rule''?
Despite their busy schedules, no. Not if they can help it.
According to a report, Kelce and Swift have a "relationship rule'' that must be observed: They can't go more than two weeks without seeing each other. Via The Mirror: "The 34-year-old pop icon has reportedly laid down some pretty strict relationship rules for her NFL star boyfriend to follow if he wants to be with her for the long run. ... The couple reportedly decided not to ever spend more than two weeks apart.
That explains in part why when Swift is working on her international Eras Tour, Kelce frequently pops up in places around the globe.
Cute!
JUNE 8 NEVER! Eventually, Travis Kelce will hang 'em up.
“I’m never doing it," Travis said, via Parade. "Not after that speech, dude. No, [expletive] that. I don't want to go through that."
"That speech'' was the presentation of his brother Jason, who just retired from Philly.
Said Jason on the brothers' "New Heights" podcast: "I'm still getting used to it. It feels weird not going into the building and just the little conversations you have. You'll realize it, Trav, once it's gone."
That remark led to Travis saying he's never going to retire from playing football. ... which right about now, with Kelce, 34, still wildly productive ...
Sounds just fine to KC fans.
JUNE 5 NEW ROLE? Kicker Harrison Butker might have a lighter load thanks to the NFL's new rules for kickoffs, which are expected to produce more returns and theoretically more tackle attempts for kickers.
Kansas City might not using Butker for all kickoffs this fall, as noted on the latest episode of the "New Heights" podcast with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
"Obviously it’s not because Harrison can’t do it,” Kelce said. “He’s one of the best guys in the league at doing it. He’s got one of the best legs in the game. He typically kicks it into the stands, through the end zone when he does kick off.”
But that's not what the new rules will always call for. So ...Veteran safety Justin Reid might be a candidate to handle some kickoffs in place of Butker - and then to be an 11th tackler on the field.
"He has a great leg,” Kelce said. “And he just so happens to be one of our best tacklers on the team.''
