Las Vegas Aces Make Big Announcement For Game Against Caitlin Clark, Fever
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are set to cap off a five-game road trip on Tuesday against the Las Vegas Aces. Their 9:30 ET matchup will now be held at T-Mobile Arena after ticket demand rose. According to TickPick, the arena's seating capacity expanded by 33% from 12,000 to 18,000 seats.
Indiana heads into Sin City after defeating the Phoenix Mercury 88-82 in Clark's first matchup against veteran guard Diana Taurasi. This will be the second game of the season series between the Fever and Aces, with Las Vegas securing a 99-80 victory in their first meeting on May 25th.
The command for tickets featuring the Fever has risen exponentially in the 2023-24 season with the addition of Clark. They've already been a part of several television viewership records with ESPN and NBA TV this season, having multiple games surpass the 2 million viewership mark.
Las Vegas and Indiana came into the season on completely different ends of the seesaw. The Aces are the two-time defending champions, while the Fever have held the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft for the past two seasons.
While Clark's attendance in Vegas largely sparked the venue change, the Aces have also presented some of the best players in the WNBA, like MVP frontrunner A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, and Jackie Young.
It will also be Clark's second matchup against her former Iowa teammate, Kate Martin. All eyes will be on the Aces vs. Fever on Tuesday, showcasing some elite WNBA talent.
