WVU women’s basketball announces promotions for 2024-25 season
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The promotional schedule for the 2024-25 West Virginia University women’s basketball home schedule was announced by the WVU Athletics Marketing Department on Wednesday.
SEASON-LONG PROMOTIONS:
Tees for 3’s: Following every Mountaineer 3-pointer this season, t-shirts courtesy of the Mountaineer Maniacs will be tossed into the crowd.
SINGLE-GAME PROMOTIONS:
Tuesday, Nov. 5th vs. Towson – HOME OPENER/TOY MOUNTAIN TOY DRIVE
Join the Mountaineers as they tip off their season! Fans will have their first opportunity to get their hands on the 2024-25 schedule poster for their first time! The team will also be collecting toy donations for the annual Toy Mountain Toy Drive at the gates.
Saturday, Nov. 9th vs. Niagara – MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY/FAMILY DAY
Join the Women’s Basketball team as we honor veterans and military personnel in a celebration of Veteran’s Day. Fans can also bring out the entire family and save! Purchase a Family Day ticket package of four tickets and a $10 concession voucher for only $25!
Tuesday, Nov. 12th vs. Pitt – BACKYARD BRAWL/GOLD RUSH
The Backyard Brawl is coming to Morgantown as the Mountaineers take on the Panthers! The first 1000 fans in attendance will receive gold shakers. Additionally, all fans are encouraged to wear GOLD for the annual Gold Rush game vs. Pitt.
Friday, Nov. 15th vs. Texas A&M – COAL RUSH
It’s Coal Rush time as the Mountaineers take on the Aggies! All fans in attendance will receive a Black rally towel. Weeknight happy hour will be in effect from doors open to tipoff where select beverages and concessions will be half-off! Additionally, all fans are encouraged to wear BLACK for the Coal Rush game vs. Texas A&M.
Tuesday, Nov. 19th vs. Bowling Green – SENIOR DITCH NIGHT
All senior groups of 10 or more who are 60+ will get group admission prices to the game. Those attending the game will receive a WVU women’s basketball branded coffee cup.
Friday, Nov. 22nd vs. Lafayette – A WICKED NIGHT AT THE COLISEUM
Shiz University is coming to Morgantown! Enjoy a night full of fun from the Land of Oz as the Mountaineers celebrate the blockbuster movie WICKED! Fans in attendance will get a special commemorative poster and have the chance to win Wicked theme prizes throughout the night!
Friday, Dec. 6h vs. East Tennessee State – EDUCATION DAY GAMEAn exciting day of education and basketball returns as each student who attends will be able to experience a collegiate basketball game free of charge and receive an educational workbook filled with questions, games and more! Additionally, we will be running educational-based promotions throughout the game. School registration is required. For more information, contact [email protected]
Wednesday, Jan. 1st vs. UCF – BRING YOUR PARENTS TO GAME DAY
Bring out the entire family and save! Purchase a Family Day ticket package of four tickets and a $10 concession voucher for only $25! Got a team of 10 or more? Bring them and save on tickets! The first 200 kids in attendance will receive an exclusive WV lunch box!
Saturday, Jan. 6th vs. BYU – KELLOGG’S CLUB DAY
Members of Kellogg’s Club are invited out to the game to take part in a pregame tunnel as the team runs onto the court! Happy hour will be in effect from doors open to tipoff where select beverages and concessions will be half-off! The first 500 fans in attendance will receive replica basketball court slap koozies.
Wednesday, Jan. 15th vs. Colorado – COLISEUM GOES COUNTRY
Break out those cowboy boots for this weeknight Big 12 match-up as the Coliseum goes country. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a custom WV cowboy hat. Weeknight happy hour will be in effect from doors open to tipoff where select beverages and concessions will be half-off!
Sunday, Jan. 19th vs. Iowa State – TRUE BLUE/JERRY WEST DAY
All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear Blue for the annual TRUE BLUE game! The Mountaineers will also honor WVU legend Jerry West throughout the game. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive blue shakers and #44 buttons.
Saturday, February 1st vs Oklahoma State – PINK GAME/ALUMNI DAY/POSTGAME AUTOGRAPHSThe annual Pink Game, presented by the WVU Cancer Institute, will be on Saturday, Feb. 1st against Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear PINK in support of the fight against breast cancer. All former team members will be invited back to Morgantown and will be recognized during halftime. Stick around for postgame autographs from the team after the game!
Wednesday, February 5th vs. Kansas – “I BELONG” DIVERSITY & INCLUSION GAME/BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION
WVU hosts its annual “I Belong” game to celebrate diversity and inclusion on Wednesday, February 5th, The first 200 fans in attendance will receive an “I Belong” button. The Mountaineers will also be honoring Black History Month with NPAC Night. At halftime, the Mountaineers will recognize all NPAC fraternities and sororities for their work on campus. It’s also Faculty/Staff Appreciation night and all WVU employees will be granted free admission with a valid employee ID.
Saturday, February 17th vs. Cincinnati: SENIOR DAY
Join us as we honor the 2025 senior class with a pregame ceremony!
Monday, February 17th vs. Kansas State- GOLD RUSH
It’s Gold Rush vs. the Wildcats. All fans in attendance will receive a Gold “Let’s Go” Mountaineers poster.
