Here are the best and most authentic pubs in Ireland that you will find outside of the major touristy areas.

The Gravediggers is located in the Glasnevin neighborhood of north Dublin near Glasnevin Cemetary and the National Botanical Gardens. The Cobblestone is such a beloved institution that when it was threatened with closure, thousands took to the streets in protest. Clearly, The Cobblestone means a huge amount to people.

The Beach Bar, Co Sligo

Sligo is an underrated county that tourists don't tend to visit. However, it is located along the Wild Atlantic Way and has some truly breathtaking scenery.

The best pub to visit in this stunning county is Beach Bar, which has been open for an impressive 300+ years. Here, you will enjoy great food and drink right by the Atlantic Ocean.

Lynott’s Pub, Co Mayo

Located on Achill Island, where much of The Banshees of Inisherinwas filmed, Lynott's Pub dates back to the 1800s. It is not for the faint-hearted, as public speaking and debating are encouraged in this tiny boozer.

Kyteler’s Inn, Co Kilkenny

Kyteler’s Inn's history dates back to 1263, making it one of the oldest pubs in Ireland. Located in the heart of the Medieval City of Kilkenny, where tourists should absolutely visit, it was first established by the notorious Dame Alice de Kyteler.
