April Wine to return to the studio in 2024
The legendary Canadian rock band April Wine has announced that they will be recording a new album in 2024, their first since 2006's Roughly Speaking. The band, which formed in 1969 and has sold over 20 million albums worldwide, said that they are excited to work on new material and share it with their fans.
A long and successful career
April Wine is one of the most successful Canadian rock bands of all time, with 16 studio albums, nine live albums, and numerous compilations and singles. They have had hits such as 'You Could Have Been a Lady', 'Just Between You and Me', 'Sign of the Gypsy Queen', and 'I Like to Rock'. They have also been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame.
A new chapter for April Wine
The band's current lineup consists of founding members Myles Goodwyn (vocals, guitar) and Brian Greenway (guitar, vocals), along with Richard Lanthier (bass), Roy Nichol (drums), and Lee Turner (keyboards). They have been touring regularly since their reunion in 1992, and have performed at festivals, casinos, and theaters across Canada and the US. They said that they are looking forward to returning to the studio next year and creating a new album that will reflect their musical evolution and legacy.
