Mesut Ozil continued to show off his incredible body transformation as the Arsenal icon shared an update of his new ripped physique.
Ozil has been seriously hitting the gym after retiring from professional football last year following an illustrious career playing at some of the world's biggest clubs.
The 35-year-old has dedicated his retirement to the gym and made impressive gains during his time and has impressed even the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo with his rigorous gym workouts in recent months - which he has shared on social media.
Ozil has been working with a personal coach to help build muscle, with the former Arsenal midfielder totally changing his physique compared to the leaner frame he adopted during his playing days.
Workouts have clearly been focused on building muscle, with Ozil showing off his impressive six pack, biceps, chest and shoulders in his most recent update.
Sharing an update celebrating his one-year transformation, the former World Cup winner posed in the gym while wearing an orange hoodie that had been pulled up to his neck.
Captioning his post to his 28m Instagram followers, Ozil said: '1 Year Very Hard WORK.'
It is not yet clear what the motivation behind Ozil's body transformation is, with some fans believing he could be looking to compete as a bodybuilder in the future.
He won four FA Cups during his time in North London and notched 19 assists for the Gunners in the 2015-16 Premier League season, which remains a club record, with fans clearly still fond of him.
Impressed with Ozil's most recent update, one fan commented: 'Bro not bad' alongside a wink face emoji.
Another post proposed a new career move for Ozil given his muscle-bound figure, adding: 'Bro is going to WWE.'
'Let’s do some MMA,' stated another fan who was amazed by the progress Ozil has made over the past 12 months.
