Lane closures and traffic diversions on Federal Highway starting July 5
MOTORISTS travelling along the Federal Highway are to take note of lane closures and traffic diversion.
Starting July 5 to July 20, from 11pm to 5am, the closures will take place in three stages opposite the Petronas and Shell petrol stations for Kuala Lumpur and Klang bound traffic to facilitate LRT3 project-related works.
For Stage 1, the leftmost and middle lanes of the highway for Klang-bound traffic will be closed on July 5 and July 6. Traffic from three lanes will merge into one lane heading towards Klang.
For Stage 2, the fast lanes for Klang and Kuala Lumpur-bound traffic will be closed on July 12 and July 13. There will be a slight diversion, and motorists can still use the two remaining lanes of the highway on both bounds.
For Stage 3, the leftmost and middle lanes of the highway for Kuala Lumpur-bound traffic will be closed from July 19 to July 20. Traffic from three lanes will be diverted to one lane heading towards Kuala Lumpur.
For details, call the LRT3 helpline at 1-800 18 2585 from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (excluding public holidays)
