Gelli de Belen touched by godson Quentin's birthday gift
Gelli de Belen was over the moon about the sweetest gesture she received on her belated birthday celebration.
As she turned 51 last May 25, 2024, Gelli did not expect to receive yet another memorable gift days later, on May 29, from her beloved godchild Quentin.
Quentin is the unico hijo of comedian-actress Candy Pangilinan—one of Gelli's closest friends in showbiz and co-star in the film Road Trip.

Quentin's birthday surprise for ninang Gelli
Posting snaps of that day on Instagram, Gelli began her caption with: "This big boy has to be the sweetest."
She explained (published as is), "Quentin knew it was my bday so he told his Mom na kakain daw kami sa Shakey's, favorite niya Hawaiian pizza, tsaka yun daw kaya ng budget niya.
"So right before going, nilabas niya ang kanyang piggy bank, because that is what he will use to pay at yun mismo ang dala niya sa lunch."
The pleasant surprise did not end there as Quentin also came fully-prepared, bearing presents for his ninang.
"Tapos para may gift siya, kumuha siya ng chocolate sa refrigerator nila at kumuha ng rosary sa room ng lola niya (Nini) and wrote his message for me," the 51-year-old TV host mentions.
Gelli, overwhelmed with emotions, wrote: "My [red heart emoji] is so full of gratitude for this thoughtful boy. Ninang loves you Quentin!!!
"Siempre kasama si Tita Janice [de Belen] sexy na buong lunch ay pinupog niya ng hugs and kisses."

Special needs
Quentin, who is turning 21 this October, was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in childhood.
On April 12, 2022, Candy marked the International Autism Month with a message on Instagram that expressed both frustration and a firm resolve to better understand her son's mind and emotions.
She wrote, "There are good days, there are tantrums/meltdown days. Children with adhd/autism oftentimes cannot understand how and why they are feeling such.
"Parents understanding and tolerance is needed. You can cry but you are not allowed to shout and give up.
"I too admittedly sometimes do not know what to do anymore. I close my eyes and take a few breaths.
"I remind myself that there are better days ahead. I think of ways on how I can help/better understand his ongoing emotion."

Graduating from Junior High
Though some may view his condition as an obstacle, Quentin has demonstrated his academic mettle, even graduating from junior high school with awards.
Candy expressed her pride on June 29, 2022, the day Quentin's school held its commencement exercise: "Quentin graduates grade 10!"
She then sent out her appreciation to the people who have witnessed their journey and joined hands with them through any active forms of support.
From family members, friends, and godparents, to teachers, therapists, doctors, caregivers, and household help, to religious organizations and spiritual mentors, Candy did not forget to thank them in her heartfelt speech.
This gratitude even extended to security guards who demonstrated nothing but respect and understanding towards Quentin's condition.
"Ang daming dapat pasalamatan pati mga guards na pinagbigyan kami sa pagwawala ni Quentin," Candy added.
"To everyone we have encountered in one way or another. Salamat."
Elated, she affirmed, "Next level na po tayo. The journey continues. Quentin have taught me more than I have taught him.
"Thank you Quentin. Congratulations!"
She ended the post with an adorable glimpse of what happened behind the scenes: "PS: Sobrang enthusiastic ni Quentin nasira yung barong. Nagka-slit. Hahaha!
"Congratulations to all graduates!"
