Several social media personalities netizens defend Vice Ganda from demolition efforts against him
Amidst the barrage of criticism and attacks on Vice Ganda over the “Especially For You” controversy, several social media personalities and netizens have courageously come to his defense.
Director Jojo Saguin tweeted with amusement at the coordinated social media posts criticizing Vice Ganda, noting their uniformity. He tweeted, “Sana di sila nag sabay sabay para di masyadong halata.”
PBB alumnus Justin Dizon also defended Vice, suggesting that the orchestrated attacks against the popular star stem from jealousy. He criticized TikTok influencers for echoing the same scripted content in their posts.
“Ano to? May demolition job kay Vice Ganda? Tapos sinabay niyo pa ngayong Pride month ha. Mga inggitera kayo. And don’t get me started with these low tier TikTok “influencers” who share the same script.”
Nico Quejano offered his perspective, indicating that Vice and the other hosts’ reactions were justified given Christine’s defensive response.
“Am sorry, but the gurl is in a defensive stance, the elbow is raised, giving her space from the guy. Umiwas, and tumayo palayo.”
Former Hashtag member Luke Conde shared the same view, subtly supporting Vice Ganda’s reaction and noting that Christine appeared uncomfortable in the video.
“To be fair pag pinanuod mo yung nangyari, kahit ako nakita ko na hindi comfortable yung reaction nung girl.”
@scorsaguin meanwhile cited RA 9995 or the anti photo and video voyeurism after one Tiktok creator shared the private conversation of Christine and the ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts. The tweet read, “Violation of RA 9995, prohibiting the recording and distribution of any form of media that captures conversations without the consent of all parties involved. Violations of this law are met with penalties, including imprisonment. hindi kayo makakapag-cloutchase sa kulungan.”
Ate Dick, also known as Inah Evans, condemned the smear campaign against Vice Ganda, stating that the intent to discredit him was blatantly obvious.
“Grabe iyang demolition job niyo kay Meme. Nakakadiri kayo. Halatang halata kayo jusme.”
It’s Showtime staff Pawi Lectura also took to Twitter to criticize those joining the hate bandwagon against Vice Ganda. He tweeted a car emoji together with a video clip performance from All Out Sunday with the song “Sasakyan Kita.”
@polayann meanwhile commended Vice for using his platform for good especially issues that needs to be exposed and talked about.
“Meme Vice has been breaking the fourth wall lately with these takes na dapat talaga ay naeexpose in media!! She’s using her platform for good wtf just brilliant I LOVE HER SO MUCHHH”
@jdcz_ on the other hand called out the Tiktok creators who are milking the issue through their single scripting, likening it to Maggie Wilson’s experience.
“You did it before to maggie wilson, now on vice ganda??? KAYO KAYO NALANG MAGLOKOHAN TAPOS PAG NAGLEAK ANG GC NYONG MGA INFLUENZANG BAYAD MAG IIYAKAN KAYO AT MAGSOSORRY???”
