Vice Ganda apologizes to GMA Network Exec Annette Gozon-Valdes after on-air slip-up

Vice Ganda quickly apologized to GMA Pictures President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes after mistakenly mentioning ABS-CBN’s ‘TV Patrol’ instead of GMA Network’s ’24 Oras.’

The mix-up occurred while Vice Ganda was complimenting Kapuso actress Rita Daniela’s voice during the ‘EXpecially For You’ segment on June 8. Impressed by Rita’s vocal tone, Vice Ganda remarked, “Ang ganda ng boses nito. Bakit hindi ka mag-TV Patrol? Pero ikaw ‘yung nagre-report.”

Co-host Jhong Hilario chimed in with, “Puwede sa Star Patrol!”

Realizing the error, Vice Ganda quickly corrected himself, referring to ’24 Oras’ and humorously apologized, “Ma’am Annette, I’m sorry!” This prompted laughter from the hosts, including Jhong, Rita, and other members of the show.

Karylle, another co-host, suggested that Vice Ganda could have simply said “excuse me” on air instead of apologizing. Vice Ganda responded jokingly, “Baka mabawi ‘yung imbitasyon natin sa GMA Gala. Masasayang ‘yung gown na pinagawa ko.”

The incident comes as anticipation builds for the upcoming GMA Gala Night, which the hosts of ‘It’s Showtime,’ including Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, and Vhong Navarro, are expected to attend again this year.

They previously attended the event last year, marking a notable presence.
