First meeting of Coco Martin and Ara Davao in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ draws more than half-a-million online concurrent viewers
This is not the first time the series soared above half-a-million in online concurrent live viewers.
At the moment, events in the number one TV show in the country, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,are still sowly churning into a potential major turn, but online viewers seem to be already glued on what’s next, as reflected by the show’s near-record live concurrent viewers online.
On Tuesday, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo saw its live concurrent viewers on YouTube, spiked to more than 486,000, one of the highest it ever achieved, when not taken into account Facebook. On the same day, some 15,000+ tuned in on Kapamilya Online Live’s Facebook feed, which brings the Coco Martin-starrer’s total concurrent viewers north of 501,000.The figure eclipsed the record made by the May 14 episode, this year.
Titled ‘Salisi’, tonight’s episode featured the first meeting of the characters played by Coco Martin and Ara Davao. The episode also featured Charo Santos’ Tindeng discovering Rigor (John Estrada)’s move to bring home his other woman, Lena (Mercedes Cabral) to the household.
Now on its second year on-air, FPJ’sBatang Quiapo,continues to assert Coco Martin’s primetime royalty status, and his reputation as the one and only Phlippine primetime king. The Kapamilya action-drama, has been the only TV drama in the country, to hit 15+ people ratings, in at least, the last 6 months.
Living up to the legacy left by its predecessor, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,has already outlived four rival Kapuso shows (Maria Clara at Ibarra, Mga Lihim Ni Urduja, Voltes V Legacy, Maging Sino Ka Man). Current rival show, Black Rider, is notably set to bid adieu on July 26.
