A farewell to remember
After an extended period of consistently high ratings and garnering positive feedback from audiences, GMA Network's primetime series "My Guardian Alien" will culminate in its highly anticipated finale tonight.
The program is headlined by Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera as Grace and bankable leading man Gabby Concepcion as Carlos, together with Max Collins as Venus, Raphael Landicho as Doy, and Gabby Eigenmann as Dr. Ceph.
The show has been cited for underscoring many moral principles, notably centered on themes of forgiveness and the importance of familial love.
Netizens have also weighed in on the program with such posts initially written in Filipino, saying, "The story is beautiful and realistic. Kindness, love, and repentance always prevail. It will inspire you to do good. Even if there is a villain, it shows they can change and not be filled with anger or hatred in their hearts."
Besides the valuable lessons the series brought, avid viewers also highlighted Marian and Gabby's undeniable chemistry and high-caliber acting of Concepcion, as well as the remarkable performance of the whole cast. Fans commented, "I hope Marian and Gabby team up again; they are a joy to watch and the perfect combination. The other characters also effortlessly make us laugh and cry. They are all excellent!"
Many avid viewers have even asked for a second season: "Please don't leave us hanging. We hope Grace can return to live on earth with Doy and Carlos and that their family can grow. Can you extend it or have a Season 2, please! We will miss you, Grace, Doy, Carlos, and the entire cast. Thank you so much."
The finale week has seen Grace and Carlos' wedding disrupted by a bombing planned by Dr. Ceph, who then abducts Grace. The question for tonight's conclusion is whether a happy ending can still come to Grace and her earthly family.
"My Guardian Alien's" grand finale airs at 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime with a delayed telecast on GTV at 10:50 p.m.
Global Pinoys can also catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV.
