TWICE's Manila Fan Meet: 10 Most Memorable Moments
It's been a few weeks since K-Pop girl group TWICE visited the Philippines for the third time, but Filipino ONCEs are still buzzing over the unforgettable moments from their first-ever fan meet in the country.
All nine members of TWICE—Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu—graced the TWICE x Oishi Snacktacular Fan-Meet held on June 1, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Before the fan meet, TWICE also held a press conference at the Grand Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, where they met with members of the media, including PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
During the event, the group expressed their excitement to be back in the country and shared their most memorable moments in the Philippines.
For Tzuyu, their first concert in the Philippines held in 2019 was definitely memorable.
She explained, with the help of a translator, "When we first visited Manila in 2019, and the passion, support, and love Filipino ONCEs have given us were really overwhelming and very touching.
"That why, it's our 'O, Wow!' moment."
Jeongyeon shared that she was overwhelmed by the support they received during their second concert in the country, held in 2023 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
As translated in English, she said, "Our second visit was for the Ready To Be tour and we were given the opportunity to perform at a bigger venue.
"And a lot of fans waited for four years for us to perform in Manila again. But the overwhelming support was really touching."
Echoing Jeongyeon, Dahyun fondly recalled how their Filipino fans sang along with them during their Ready To Be concert.
She recounted, as translated in English, "Personally, Filipino ONCEs were able to sing all of TWICE songs from start to finish in Korean language and that for me was surprising."

Q&A WITH TWICE
During the press conference, the members were divided into "sub-units" based on the Oishi products they endorsed.
Mina and Chaeyoung were in the "Sweet! Sweet!" sub-unit, Momo and Jihyo were in the "Anghang! Anghang!" sub-unit, Jeongyeon and Dahyun were in the "Corny! Corny!" sub-unit, and Nayeon, Tzuyu, and Sana were in the "Cheezy! Cheeze!" sub-unit.
Mina and Chaeyoung were asked to share some of the "sweet moments" they have with the other members.
Mina, through a translator, responded, "Just being together makes it a sweet moment."
Chaeyoung, on the other hand, reminisced about a pair of necklaces they got during one of their concert tours. She recalled, as translated into English, "During our U.S. tour, we went into a shop and found a cute teddy bear necklace that splits into two pieces. And we bought these together."
Mina added, "Chaeyoung bought it for me."
When asked to share a memorable gift from a fellow member, Tzuyu, Nayeon, and Sana had touching stories.
Tzuyu fondly remembered the Christmas when Momo gave all the members matching pajamas, making the holiday extra special.
Tzuyu said with the help of a translator, "I receive a lot of gifts from TWICE members but one of the most memorable ones was during Christmas, when Momo gave all members a pajama in a very cute packaging. For me, it was one of the most memorable gifts I received."
"The box is actually still with me because it's so cute and I'm using it to keep a lot of things."
Nayeon recalled a thoughtful gift from Jeongyeon.
She said, through a translator, "I receive a lot of gifts as well and they're all memorable but since I had an eye contact with Jeongyeon... she gave me an air purifier that I really wanted to buy for a long time.
"And now, she's living by breathing the good air from the air purifier that Jeongyeon, has given me."
Meanwhile, Sana recounted receiving a wall clock from Mina, which holds a special place in her heart.
Sana shared, as translated into English, "There are some many gifts that I received and they're all memorable... But there's one thing that I always see in the house and that is a wall clock gifted by Mina.
"And so, the quality of my is getting one level higher every day when I look at the wall clock."
Meanwhile, the "Corny! Corny!" sub-unit members Jeongyeon and Dahyun shared their favorite activity when the group isn't filming.
Both reminisced about a game they often enjoy together during their downtime.
Jeongyeon said, as translated in English, "There's a game in Korea called 'What if' game, and the TWICE members love asking questions and this is one of the games that we would do."
The "Anghang! Anghang!" sub-unit of Jihyo and Momo was asked about their thoughts on the popular spicy prawn crackers.
Jihyo, who isn’t a fan of spicy food, approved of the snack because it wasn't too spicy.
She said, through a translator, "We are not really good with spicy food, and we were thinking, 'What do I do?'
"That was our reaction but when we tried the prawn crackers, it's not really, really spicy and you can still enjoy some spiciness so it was a really good snack."
Momo added, "I'm also not good with spicy food but it was a snack that I was able to enjoy the spiciness and it was not so spicy."
So far, what is their favorite Filipino dish they've tried?
Jihyo's answer: "Halo-Halo."
She said, as translated in English, "When we come to the Philippines for a concert, they usually prepare Korean food.
"So we're not really able to try Filipino cuisine, but one thing I was able to try is Halo-Halo."
10 MEMORABLE MOMENTS AT TWICE'S SNACKTACULAR FAN-MEET
Following their press conference, TWICE made their way to the SM Mall of Asia Arena for an exciting fan meet.
Here are ten of the most memorable highlights from the event:
1. TWICE concerts are famous for the energetic dance cam battles among fans. This time, nine fortunate fans got the chance to exhibit their dance moves and were selected for a dance challenge with TWICE.
2. The fans were ecstatic and cheered loudly when TWICE greeted them in Filipino. Dahyun led the way, saying, "Magandang gabi! Ako si Dahyun! Philippines, sigaw! Grabe!"
Tzuyu also showcased her Filipino skills, telling the crowd, "Mahal kita!"
Meanwhile, Jihyo charmed everyone with, "Maganda si Jihyo!" Sana was the last member to share, delighting the audience with her phrase, "Ay naku talaga!"
3. Another memorable moment was when they shared their favorite Filipino food. Dahyun surprised everyone by saying her favorite is Taho.
Meanwhile, Nayeon expressed her love for Lumpia.
4. For their first challenge, TWICE members were asked to create their own snack buckets, which were then raffled off to lucky winners.
Each bucket was signed by the members who prepared it.
While crafting their personalized snacks, Tzuyu and Mina expressed their happiness in seeing their Filipino fans, sharing that they were inspired to return for another concert.
Mina, speaking through a translator, said, "Seeing the Filipino ONCEs makes me feel like I want to come back for a concert."
5. The members' competitiveness was on full display in the succeeding activities, starting with the "Shopper and Bagger" game.
For this challenge, the members were divided into their prior sub-units, with one acting as the shopper picking snacks from a rack and the other as the bagger packing them into a bag.
The "Anghang! Anghang!" sub-unit of Momo and Jihyo won this challenge by packing 48 snacks into two huge bags.
6. Their third challenge was a dance competition where each sub-unit performed a themed version of one of their songs.
Mina and Chaeyoung delivered a "sweet" rendition of their dance for "Yes or Yes."
Nayeon, Sana, and Tzuyu were tasked to do a "cheesy" dance version of their song "Talk That Talk."
Dahyun and Jeongyeon teamed up for a "corny" version of their hit "Alcohol-Free."
The loudest cheers erupted when Momo and Jihyo performed a "spicy" version of "Set Me Free."
7. The dance party continued with the "Dance With Your Idols" challenge, where lucky fans chosen from the earlier dance cam battle participated.
In this game, fans danced to a TWICE song while the members had to guess the song based on the choreography.
Momo and Jihyo correctly guessed the song "What is Love?"
Dahyun and Jeongyeon successfully identified "More and More" based on their fans' dance performances.
Mina and Chaeyoung also guessed "The Feels," with help from their fan teammates.
Lastly, Nayeon, Sana, and Tzuyu accurately guessed the song "TT," which their fans performed.
8. TWICE's final game activity was the "Coocoo Catcher" game, where one member dressed up as a chick and needed to catch balls thrown by their teammate.
The "Cheezy! Cheezy!" sub-unit of Nayeon, Sana, and Tzuyu won this round by catching a total of 19 balls.
9. Towards the end of the fan meet, Filipino ONCEs had the opportunity to celebrate the birthdays of Tzuyu and Dahyun.
Fans sang the "Happy Birthday" song for Tzuyu ahead of her 25th birthday on June 14th, and for Dahyun, who had recently turned 26 on May 28th.
10. The event concluded with a heartfelt video tribute prepared by the fans for TWICE, followed by a group photo with all the attendees of the fan meet.
