Melai Cantiveros addresses rumors of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ being scripted
During a recent media conference for ‘PBB: Gen 11,’ the 11th season of the hit reality show ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ host Melai Cantiveros directly addressed longstanding rumors suggesting that the show is scripted.
Cantiveros, who has been a prominent figure on shows like ‘Magandang Buhay’ and the new Visayan talk show ‘Kuan-On-One,’ refuted claims that the events within the PBB house are predetermined or directed by the producers.
“Hindi talaga scripted dito [sa PBB]. Kung scripted kami ni Jason, magka-dalawa ba kaming anak?,” Melai humorously remarked, referring to her husband Jason Francisco, whom she met and fell in love with during their time as housemates on PBB. “Hanggang ngayon dumadrama pa kami?”
Melai and Jason, known as ‘Melason’ by fans, have two daughters, Mela and Stela, who are often noted for their playful nature inherited from their parents.
This year, PBB received a staggering 35,906 audition entries through StarHunt, ABS-CBN’s audition platform. However, only a select few will get the chance to live inside the PBB house and become part of its 11th season.
From July 15 to 19, viewers will be introduced to Kuya’s new housemates with one housemate being revealed each day during ‘Star Hunt: The Audition Show.’ This segment will showcase the journey of thousands of aspiring housemates and Star Magic artist hopefuls.
To find out who the new housemates will be, tune in to ‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ starting July 20. The show airs from Monday to Friday at 10:15 pm on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TV5, and iWantTFC. Weekend episodes will also air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, iWantTFC, and TV5.
