LOOK: All Four Filipina Miss Universe Winners In One Photo
It's not every day—or every year, rather—that the Philippines wins Miss Universe. As of 2024, there have only been four Filipina winners of the highly coveted crown: Gloria Diaz in 1969,Margie Moran in 1973,Pia Wurtzbachin 2015, andCatriona Grayin 2018. And it's also not every day that all four Filipinas grace one stage and appear in one photo. Well, that is until yesterday, July 7, which was Binibining Pilipinas' 60th anniversary and coronation night at the—where else?—Araneta Coliseum. It's been a long time coming, but they're finally all in the same pic!
Binibining Pilipinas posted the sure-to-be-iconic photo on their Facebook page, with the caption, "The power this photo holds." And they're right—they're all still queens even long after their reign.
Binibining Pilipinas' 60th Anniversary
It wasn't just the four Miss Universe winners who reunited at the event. Over 100 Binibining Pilipinas' past titleholders also graced the event, including Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa.
Binibining Pilipinas 2024 Winners
It wasn't just a reunion of the country's beauty queens—it was a coronation night for new ones, too. Myrna Esguerra of Abra was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2024 and Jasmin Bungay of Pampanga was crowned Binibining Globe 2024. Christal dela Cruz of Zambales was first runner-up, and Trisha Martinez of Pila, Laguna was second runner-up.
The judges of the pageant included Gloria, Margie, and Pia. They were joined by Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Miss International 2023 Andrea Rubio, Beautiderm CEO Rhea Tan, professional volleyball player Fifi Sharma, andConchitina Bernardo, who served as the Chairman of the Board of Judges.
