Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo put up own production company called Brightburn Entertainment
Jennylyn Mercado and husband Dennis Trillo have put up their own production company called Brightburn Entertainment.
The Kapuso actress proudly shared the news on her Instagram account, posting photos with their partners at the Netflix Philippines office, where they had their "first-ever official meeting as a team" and met with the streaming giant's executives to discuss possible future endeavors.
"After 20 years in the industry, Dennis and I are trying on new hats, this time as producers," Jennylyn began her caption.
"We are very excited for this and just want to share with you these photos," she added, thanking Netflix execs. "Looking forward to working with all of you!" Jennylyn added.
According to the Ultimate Star, their managers led by Becky Aguila of Aguila Entertainment, have become their partners over at Brightburn.
Brightburn is just the latest of a slew of business ventures of the enterprising and creative duo. Previously, the couple put up a cat cafe. Jen meanwhile had tried her hand at a pastry business. The married couple were also very hands on in their successful YouTube seriesof song covers.
The couple are bouncing back from a recent controversy that stemmed from Jen's absence in GMA Network's station ID. Dennis Trillo allegedly came to her defense on his TikTok account with an uncharacteristic reply to a netizen.
Becky Aguila came to both their defense, explaining Jen was unavailable on the shoot date of the station ID, while Dennis' TikTok account was hacked.
Earlier in the month, Dennis and Jennyn held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new family home. What an impressive bouncinh back indeed.
