Ivana Alawi’s exit from ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ clarified by talent manager
Talent manager Perry P. Lansigan of PPL Entertainment Group has set the record straight regarding Ivana Alawi’s departure from the Kapamilya series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.’
Speaking on DJ Jhaiho’s teleradyo show ‘Showbiz Sidelines,’ Lansigan addressed the rumors of an alleged “attitude problem” and explained the real reasons behind Alawi’s exit.
“From the very start… Three months lang dapat talaga ang kaniyang pag-iistay sa nasabing teleserye,” Lansigan clarified. “Three months ang kanilang napagkasunduan at um-okay si Ivana. Pero dahil nag-click ang tambalan ni Bubbles at ni Tanggol, na-extend nang na-extend at nadagdagan pa ng maraming taping.”
Lansigan highlighted that Alawi had multiple prior engagements that made it challenging to continue with the series. “Hanggang sa hindi na po kinaya ng schedule bilang meron din pong mga prior commitment si Ivana sa mga shoots, vlogs and etc na na-oohan ng kaniyang management,” he said. “Hindi na kakayanin talaga ni Ivana.”
Ivana Alawi joined ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ in August 2023, playing the character Bubbles, who encounters Coco Martin’s character Tanggol in a correctional facility.
Their on-screen chemistry resonated with viewers, prompting the show to extend Alawi’s role.
‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ airs every Monday to Friday at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and TFC.
