Alden Richards promotes new show on ‘It’s Showtime!’
Kapuso actor Alden Richards brought joy to netizens and the live studio audience during his guest appearance on ‘It’s Showtime!’ last Saturday.
His enthusiastic interactions with the hosts and audience created a memorable segment that quickly became a hit online.
As soon as Alden stepped on stage, he was warmly greeted with hugs and kisses from the show’s hosts, including Kim Chiu, Vhong Navarro, and Ogie Alcasid. The hosts playfully urged Alden to greet the audience, a request he eagerly fulfilled by running up to the highest part of the seating area to exchange hugs and kisses with excited fans.
Known for his long tenure on ‘Eat Bulaga,’ Alden’s appearance on the Kapamilya noontime show surprised many viewers. ‘Eat Bulaga’ had been his home until the recent departure of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon to TV5. Notably, Alden did not appear on ‘Tahanang Pinakamasaya,’ the show that replaced ‘Eat Bulaga’ on GMA Network, making his guesting on ‘It’s Showtime!’ even more intriguing.
During his appearance, Alden focused on promoting his new Kapuso series. While he did not perform, he shared exciting news about his upcoming projects, including a highly anticipated movie with Kathryn Bernardo.
In a humorous exchange, Darren Espanto joked about being a Canadian citizen and available to join the ‘Hello, Love, Again’ film set in Canada. Alden responded with a smile, acknowledging Darren’s playful comment.
