Rhian Ramos earns praises for her acting in 'Pulang Araw' pilot
Shortly after “Pulang Araw” released its first episode on Netflix to much applause, Rhian Ramos shared a short behind-the-scenes clip from one of her parts.
The Kapuso actress shared the 46-second video on her TikTok account, which showed her character, Filipina, defending her children from their neighbors.
“Here's some #PulangAraw behind the scenes. Watch it on Netflix today and on GMA on Monday!” Rhian wrote in the caption.
Praises for Rhian’s acting immediately filled the comments section.
“From Sisa-Andrea Torres and now we have Filipina- Rhian Ramos ng Pulang Araw goosebumps galing ng GMA!!” a user commented.
“Apakagaling ng isang Rhian Ramos!!!!” another user said with three fire emojis.
“Pulang Araw” made its Netflix debut on Friday evening and became a trending topic on X.
The show traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland and Japanese forces occupy the Philippines, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.
The main antagonist of the series is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo. He is a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines. He will have feelings for Teresita.
“Pulang Araw” will have its television premiere on July 29.
