“Black Rider” lead star Ruru Madrid couldn’t help but turn emotional as the GMA series aired its final episode.

On Facebook, Jon Lucas shared a video of Ruru during their watch party on Friday evening.

“Black Rider niyo umiiyak. Nakonsensya siguro sa pagbugbog niya sa akin,” Jon wrote in the caption.

“PROUD OF YOU!!!! Nakakaiyak naman talaga! Kaya umalis ako kagabi kunwari wala signal lumabas ako,” he added.

Black Rider” started airing on November 6 last year. It aired its heroic finale on Friday.

Ruru had previously expressed his gratitude for the role as he fulfilled his dream of starring in an action serye.

The series won a bronze medal from the New York Festivals TV & Film. It is the only entertainment program from GMA Network that was recognized. New York Festivals TV & Film also awarded six documentaries and special reports from GMA Public Affairs and GMA News. Ruru dedicated the win to unsung heroes. —Carby Basina/JCB, GMA Integrated News
