Vic Sotto conquers new realm in latest endorsement
There is no doubt that host, actor and comedian Vic Sotto is a legend on television and movies. As the one of the main hosts of the longest running Philippine noontime show "Eat Bulaga," an active TV sitcom star and a movie actor and producer of blockbuster films, Sotto is a household name.
When it comes to his online presence, however, the local showbiz icon has not maintained his own account. Save for his show's official social media pages or his wife Pauline Luna's shared images and videos on her Instagram account, Sotto is barely not on the internet.
As such, it may come as a surprise for his followers that Sotto was tapped as the new endorser of PlayTime, a new online gaming platform.
In a statement, PlayTime executives said it's almost like a natural progression for Bossing — as Sotto is fondly called in showbiz — to spread his wings and make a stronger presence online and take on the challenge as the king of multi-media entertainment.
"It is truly heartwarming and a privilege to continue my mission to bring fun, entertainment and happiness in the daily lives of Filipinos, anytime and anywhere, through PlayTime," Sotto said.
In a video message, Sotto also reminded players to enjoy PlayTime responsibly.
"We know that Filipinos really love playing fun games. So, to our PlayTime users, just enjoy and game responsibly. And of course, don't forget to share your luck and blessings," Sotto said in Filipino.
PlayTime offers over 2,500 games to choose from, the largest game bank of its kind.
The platform also partnered with Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated for the 60th Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
