NAIA flights delayed, cancelled due to software issues

Yun pala, may "technical issues."

Ayon sa abiso ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), mayroong "potential problem with the software of ATM Center [Air Traffic Management Center]."

Nakasaad pa sa advisory, "To ensure safety of the flying public, CAAP decided to be conservative and manage the operations by providing longer separation of departing flights."

PAL POSTS STATEMENT

Sabi sa Facebook post nito: "A number of flights of PAL will need to be delayed or cancelled today, May 20, 2024, as a result of technical issues with the radar system for the Manila area which is affecting departures and arrivals of scheduled flights.

"We are closely coordinating with the aviation authorities on the adjustment of flight schedules and clearances, as the authorities are working expeditiously to resolve this temporary problem.

"We will take all necessary steps to restore normal schedules as soon as possible."
