Loisa Andalio Statement Spurs Convo On Solo Travel: 'Alone doesn't mean lonely'

Solo traveling can be fun. It opens an opportunity to be independent, find new friends, and uncover things you didn't know about yourself. But for some people, traveling alone ain't fun. Case in point: Loisa Andalio.

In report by PEP.ph published last May 18, the actress said travelling is an experience best shared.

"Siyempre mas naa-appreciatenation 'yung napupuntahan natin 'pag mahal natin 'yung kasama natin," Loisa told PEP.ph.

"Gumaganda rin 'yung view dahil sa kasama natin," the actress and girlfriend of Ronnie Alontesaid.

Loisa then adds that she could not understand why some people choose to be alone on trips.

"Minsan kasi, ang ano lang, hindi ko maintindihan yung mga tao na nagso-solo travel. Parang ang lungkot, kasi, sino yung kabatuhan mo na '"ang ganda ngview"?" Loisa noted.

Moreover, the 25-year-old actress thinks she could never travel solo. She thinks people travel solo because they carry too much emotional baggage, hence their desire to just be alone even on trips.

"Grabe yung pinagdadaanan talaga siguro nila para gusto nilang magigingsolona lang," Loisa stated.

Loisa Andalio draws reactions from netizens

Loisa's comments did not sit well with some solo-loving females, especially now that revenge travel is all the rage.

In a Facebook post byPEP.ph,people flocked to the comments section and expressed their two cents on Loisa's thoughts on solo traveling.

For some, it's actually part of their bucket list to travel solo. Another netizen noted that there's more room for freedom when you're just alone exploring. "Nagagawa koat my own pace 'yung paglilibot," they said.

Another take from a netizen elaborated on the "being alone does not mean you're lonely" kind of sentiment. Their comment read, "It gives you a new perspective about yourself and a chance to discover what else you can do to make yourself happy."

More netizens declared that all kinds of travel are nice and that most of the time, solo ones are actually fulfilling. Besides, it's also an opportunity for some people to have their "me time."

"Oh no! Not all solo travelers are may pinagdadadaanan. It's called ME time. A time for yourself, solitude, serenity," a comment read. Another netizen also declared, "I am at my best when I travel alone."

Although most of the ones who commented might be in disagreement with Loisa's statement, they do encourage her to try solo traveling even just once in her life.
