Asics launches new Metapseed collection

THE Tokyo Marathon was not only a showcase of passion, dedication and sportsmanship but also the perfect venue for premiere athletes to put Asics' new addition to its flagship lineup of footwear.

The Metaspeed Sky Paris and the Metapseed Edge Paris embodied the most advanced technologies that Asics had to offer. These shoes featured a revamped design that would help maintain the ideal posture and foot strike angle, allowing runners to conserve more energy later in the race.

The new Metaspeed Sky Paris and Metaspeed Edge Paris would provide runners with a light and springy feeling in every race. This was made possible thanks to a combination of a new Motion Wrap Upper 2.0 and FF Turbo Plus midsole foam.

The Metaspeed Sky Paris sported a wider full-length carbon plate in the forefoot of the shoe, strategically positioned to improve the overall bounce with each step. The Metaspeed Edge Paris remained ideal for cadence runners, seeing a more strategically placed carbon plate, an updated minimal design and lighter weight.

Aside from the festivities that transpired at the Tokyo Marathon, a special ISS tour with Asics' influencers and runners was a major highlight of the trip. They were given the chance to learn more about the materials of the shoes and see the busier parts of the facility.
