Rene Puno's 70th birthday celebration

Lawyer Rene Puno celebrated his milestone 70th birthday in grand style on June 30 at The Palms Country Club in Alabang. The evening commenced at 6 p.m. and brought together 100 of Rene's closest family and friends for a night to remember.

The celebration reached its peak with surprise performances from some of Rene's dearest friends, including Ding Mercado of the New Minstrels and actor Ricky Davao.

Adding to the delight, Rene himself, a former member of both the Ambivalent Crowd and the New Minstrels, took to the stage. His performance was a nostalgic highlight that resonated with the audience. The event was a vibrant celebration of life, filled with good food, great company, and unforgettable entertainment — a fitting tribute to Rene Puno's remarkable 70 years.

Meanwhile, Virgie Monton also known as Mamou Vi, founder of the Tiger Lady of Fashion and host of the Philippine Fashion Circle Awards, celebrated her 65th birthday with a soirée featuring amazing friends and family. The event, titled "High Tea & Cocktails," was hosted by Tiffany & Co. at Greenbelt 4 Ayala Makati. Mamou Vi dazzled in Tiffany Teal Blue, while fabulous guests complemented her in sweet pink — a perfect color combination.

To complete the occasion, interior designer and business entrepreneur Maita Nonato hosted an affirmation portion by asking everyone how they met the celebrator.

The host skillfully facilitated this segment, bringing much laughter and vibrance to the VIP room as everyone shared their fondest first meetings with Mamou Vi.
