The Kia EV6 goes even further

Kia has reworked its iconic electric model, the EV6.The Korean car goes further, charges faster and will be able to start with the fingerprints of registered drivers.

Already known for its ability to drive long distances between charging points and charge quickly, the Kia EV6 just got even better. The manufacturer has not only redesigned a few exterior details. This is particularly evident in the front and rear lights. On board, there have been a few minor adaptations, including a new steering wheel, but nothing revolutionary. What's under the skin, however, is more interesting, even if engine power remains unchanged: 170 hp and 229 hp for rear-wheel drive, 325 hp for all-wheel drive.

More energy

First of all, the EV6 has a slightly larger battery, with 84.5 kWh instead of 77.4 kWh for the Long Range version. This increases its WLTP range to 582km (instead of 528 km) with rear-wheel drive. Or between 300km and 400km on freeways, depending on conditions. The base variant also has a larger battery, 62 kWh instead of 58 kWh (WLTP range of 428km). Charging power is slightly increased, from 239 kW to 258 kW. This gives it real fast-charging capability thanks to its 800 V architecture, with the potential to gain over 300 km in 15 minutes of charging.

Digital footprint

The latest-generation infotainment system integrated with the restyling features a remote update system (OTA). Korea introduces a fingerprint recognition system. The sensor is integrated into the center console. Regular users of the vehicle will be able to start it without a smart key or digital key. Their profile will also be directly loaded and the driving position adapted. Finally, the wireless smartphone charging cradle is now capable of charging at a power of 15 W.
