NBI confirmed Alice Guo's brother has same fingerprints with Chinese Guo Xiang Dan—Gatchalian
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has found that suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo's brother, Wesley Leal Guo, has the same fingerprints as Chinese citizen Guo Xiang Dan, according to Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
"Guo Xiang Dian is Wesley Leal Guo. This is according to the fingerprint matching of the NBI using the BOI (Board of Investments) records and the NBI biometric records," Gatchalian said in a Viber message to reporters.
Gatchalian released to the media on Tuesday copies of Wesley's Philippine passport and Guo Xiang Dan's Chinese passport from the Guo family's Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV).
According to the senator, Guo Xiang Dan arrived in the Philippines in 1999 and was listed as the dependent son of Lin Wen Yi.
Lin Wen Yi is the registered mother of Guo Hua Ping in her SIRV. The NBI alreadyconfirmed that Guo Hua Ping and Mayor Alice Guo are the same person.
"He's listed as the dependent son of Lin Wen Yi which made him Guo Hua Ping's brother. Wesley Leal Guo is an incorporator of CDAG Reality Corporation in which Alice Guo is the majority owner," Gatchalian said.
Later in the day, Gatchalian also revealed that Guo Xiang Dian has current Chinese passport which will expire in 2025.
“He used both his Chinese and Philippine passport interchangeably from 2003 onwards,” the senator said.
Gatchalian reiterated that this "demonstrates that the late registration process was abused by the Guo family to falsely claim that they are Filipinos."
Mayor Guo, her father, Jian Zhong Guo, her suspected biological mother Lin WenYi, and siblings Shiela, Seimen and Wesley were also subpoenaed to attend the Senate investigation into the raided POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac.
Gatchalian also called on authorities to continue the investigation on the existence of two Alice Guos.
“Continue to investigate the existence of the two other Alice Guos. If they are real or not. Because there is only one birth certificate of an Alice Guo in [Philippine Statistics Authority] albeit it is irregular,” he said.
In one of the Senate hearings, the PSA said it already endorsed the cancellation of Mayor Guo’s certificate of live birth after finding out that the process of her birth registration was “irregular.”
Guo is at the center of the Senate investigation into the raided POGO hub in Bamban after several documents showed that she was personally involved in the processing of documents for its operations.
She has repeatedly denied being a Chinese citizen, saying she was a Filipino born of a Chinese father and a Filipino mother.
On Tuesday, Gatchalian urged her to "expose the main players" in illegal POGOs in the country. —RF, GMA Integrated News
