Check Out This Tesla Cybertruck Wrapped In Rust
Rust wraps aren't necessarily a new phenomenon, but the Cybertruck wears it surprisingly well.
While opinions on the Tesla Cybertruck's styling vary wildly, no one can deny that it's an attention-getter. Whether cruising around in bare metal or wrapped in vinyl, this electric truck is going to turn heads.
Many Cybertruck wraps genuinely improve the look of the truck for people that are otherwise not into the truck's styling. They also better represent the personality of the driver, which is difficult to do on a vehicle with very few external customization options.
So far, most of the Cybertruck wraps we've seen have been pretty typical: bold colors, pure white, total blackouts, camo. Although we did see Tesla have some fun by wrapping a pre-production Cybertruck like an F-150 and Toyota Tundra.
In this video shared by YouTube channel WhipAddict, we get our first look at a rust wrap applied to the Cybertruck. While the rust look doesn't work on every car (not so crazy aboutthis BMW i8 that went viral several years ago for instance) the design and wrap featured here looks pretty sweet on Tesla's futuristic-themed EV.
Something about the car's styling meshes well. Elon Musk wanted to channel the dark 80's future defined by the cyberpunk novels of William Gibson and the aesthetics of Blade Runner and Total Recall. This absolutely completes that look.
According to Whip Addict, the wrap was created by and installed by Luxe Concepts for the rapper T.I. who has shown off his Cybertruck previously. In the video, we see a lot of the installation process and we also get to see the guys at Luxe Concepts apply a heavy window tint to that massive windshield.
Obviously, like the Cybertruck itself, this wrap won't appeal to everyone. But several members of the InsideEVs team are into it. Let us know what you think and if you've seen any other crazy Cybertruck wraps that might be worth sharing.

Researchers here are working to tackle key challenges, such as food safety and the effect of climate change. (Sound_bite) Song Zhanfeng, Director, Vegetable Research Center, Horticulture Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences: "In recent years, what we've observed most frequently is the irregularity of high temperatures, low temperatures, and rainfall. This lack of pattern in the climate makes it difficult for scientists to conduct research and for local farmers to grow crops. Without a predictable pattern, it's hard to manage things properly. Such environmental changes affect plant growth significantly." (Voice_over) This study is focuses on stress resistance, developing crops that can thrive under extreme weather conditions, such as high and low temperatures, excessive rainfall, or water scarcity. The goal is to identify and enhance the genetic traits that make these crops more resilient. (Sound_bite) Song Zhanfeng, Director, Vegetable Research Center, Horticulture Institute of Sichuan Academy of Agricultural Sciences: "We artificially create a high-temperature or low-temperature environment for it to grow in. Then we observe how it performs in those conditions. After that, we conduct genetic modification and run tests to see whether it expresses the desired traits. Once successful, we apply this technology to our vegetable varieties." (Voice_over) A testament to how science and innovation can shape the future of one of humanity's oldest industries.
