Transfer: Chelsea goalkeeper leaves Enzo Maresca’s side for new club
Chelsea goalkeeper Ted Curd has left the Premier League west London club to join National League South side Hampton & Richmond.
Curd, 18, joined Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan deal.
This means that Curd would not have the opportunity to feature under Chelsea’s new manager, Enzo Maresca, next season.
Curd’s transfer deal was confirmed by the Blues in a statement on their website on Sunday.
“Chelsea goalkeeper, Ted Curd has joined National League South side Hampton & Richmond on a season-long loan,” Chelsea’s statement read in part.
“Good luck this season, Ted!”
Curd was named on Chelsea’s first-team bench for the home leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough and an away match at Aston Villa during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign.
