Ukraine blows up Russia
Ukrainian drones have targeted ethanol factories in Russia as Kyiv continues its long-range attack strategy.
The strikes hit facilities in the Voronezh region, with the local governor, Aleksandr Gusev, reporting that two people were injured and fires broke out at two industrial sites.
Late last week, about a dozen Ukrainian drones were either intercepted or destroyed, the governor added.
Kyiv has recently upgraded its drones to hit targets directly on Russian soil, as Western nations continue to impose restrictions on the use of their weapons within Russia.
Despite repeated requests from President Volodymyr Zelensky, Western countries remain hesitant, concerned that lifting these restrictions could further escalate tensions.
Last week, Washington announced a new $400 million military aid package, including HIMARS air defense systems, munitions, and artillery shells.
