National Azulejo Museum
This museum is dedicated to azulejo: the traditional Portuguese art of painted ceramics. Located in a former convent and founded in 1509, it offers a historical tour tracing the development of this art form from the 15th century to the present day.
Calouste Gulbenkian Museum
This is one of Lisbon's most famous museums. The Calouste-Gulbenkian Museum houses one of the largest private art collections in the world. The collection is that of Calouste-Gulbenkian, an Armenian-British philanthropist. You'll find works from Ancient Egypt, as well as ancient art pieces from China and Japan, and works by European artists such as Rembrandt, Manet and Degas.
MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology

Maritime Museum
If you would like to learn more about Portugal’s maritime history, this museum retraces the golden age of Portuguese discoveries through the life stories of the country's great explorers such as Vasco de Gama and Magellan. There are 17,000 items on display, including model ships, old maps and navigational instruments.

National Ancient Art Museum
This is Lisbon's largest art museum, with an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures and decorative arts, mainly European and Oriental, covering history from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.
