Putin furious: His ally is destabilized

Massive demonstration in Tbilisi: students storm the building of the country's main university.

Students staged an all-night strike at the Tbilisi State University building to protest against the falsification of parliamentary elections. Police blocked the entrances, but this didn't stop the demonstrators to remain in the university courtyard.

At the same time, a massive student march took place in the streets of Tbilisi, demanding re-elections.

The parliamentary elections in Georgia took place on October 26, 2024. According to official data, the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party won.

The opposition denounced fraud and disputed the results, and independent observers confirmed serious irregularities: voter intimidation, ballot manipulation and obstruction of journalists.
