How Long of an International Layover Do You Need?

How Long of an International Layover Do You Need?
Is 2 hours enough for an international layover? Arriving in a foreign country might require you to go through immigration and clear customs. Most airlines recommend arriving at least three hours ahead for an international flight. You can book flights through one airline which finds the layover for you. Then, if you miss your connection, it's the airline's responsibility to rebook you. But why rush and stress out? Explore a new city and purposely book a long layover. Sometimes you can save by booking with two separate airlines. Thing is, if one airline delays you, they're not responsible for you missing your connection. But hey, maybe you don't care. You're kind of enjoying it here anyway.
