6 Foods That Are Toxic To Cats
Cats can be picky eaters, but that doesn't mean that they will avoid eating foods that are bad for them. Here are six foods that cats should never eat, as they are toxic and could cause serious illness. Cats should never eat large quantities of canned tuna fish. This can cause nutritional deficiencies and lead to pancreatitis and bleeding disorders. Onions and garlic are high on the list of foods toxic to cats as they cause hemolytic anemia. Grapes and raisins are completely off-limits to your pet as they can cause rapid kidney failure. Cats also can't consume chocolate, as the methylxanthines found in chocolate can make them seriously ill. Common symptoms of food poisoning in cats include jaundice, diarrhea, weakness and lethargy. As well as difficulty breathing, lack of appetite, incoordination, confusion and seizures.
News10 Foods You Should Never Store In The Refrigerator
You may not have realized it but these foods should not be kept in the refrigerator. Avocados ripen quicker when stored at room temperature. The skin of bell peppers loses its crunch when stored at a low temperature. Cucumbers become watery and pitted if stored in the refrigerator, so it's best to store them at room temperature. Pickles are already preserved, so save space and put them in your pantry instead. Onions and garlic should be stored in a cool, dry place away from potatoes. Bananas need a warm temperature to ripen, so should never be stored in the refrigerator. Berries also have a better chance of staying fresh at room temperature. Melons should only be refrigerated once sliced, never when whole. The vinegar in hot sauce keeps it preserved, so refrigerating it is also unnecessary. Only creamy condiments should be kept in the refrigerator.

NewsOmega-3 Fatty Acids May Help Reduce Headaches
A new study has found that having a diet that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids can reduce the severity of painful headaches. The researchers also found that lowering the amount of omega-6 fatty acids can help relieve migraines. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in fish, nuts and plant oils, while Omega-6 fatty acids are found in seeds, eggs and vegetable oils. 182 people with a history of suffering from migraines participated in the study. Each participant was assigned one of three diet programs for 16 weeks. The first diet program contained typical levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and was used as a control group. The other two diets increased the amount of omega-3. However, one of them also lowered the amount of omega-6 fatty acids.
